AFTHER THE MONUMENT

In After the Monument, classical beauty is no longer elevated beyond reach. The sculptural body has fallen, softened, and become a place to sit, pause, and inhabit.

The work reflects on the afterlife of the monument: what happens when symbols of permanence, perfection, and authority are brought back to human scale. Its reclining form suggests both ruin and refuge, transforming the idealized body into a space of intimacy.

By merging sculpture and furniture, After the Monument turns spectatorship into contact. It proposes a new relationship with history, not one of distance, but of presence.
