Unbound reflects on the transformation of cultural inheritance. Drawing from the heroic language of Neoclassical sculpture and the visual codes of contemporary iconography, the work fuses two distant traditions into a single evolving form.
Rather than staging a conflict between past and present, the sculpture proposes a state of becoming. The classical figure does not disappear; it mutates. Myth, memory, and tradition are released from fixed meanings and return as new possibilities.
By bringing historical and contemporary visual cultures into the same sculptural body, Unbound questions how symbols, identities, and values survive across generations. The work suggests that true freedom is not found in rejecting the past, but in reimagining it.
