Watching Dreams Go Up In Smoke

The diptych "Watching Dreams Go Up In Smoke" depicts an apocalyptic world where a group of young children – perhaps the last surviving individuals on earth – gaze upon a city engulfed in flames. From their perspective, viewed from behind, we see them looking upon the city as smoke and fire rage, darkening the sky. They stand atop a hill, offering a panoramic view of the devastation unfolding before them. The two panels of the diptych give a complete picture of the story.
This diptych prompts reflection on the consequences of our actions for the future.
